Keara Newton

Keara Newton is a licensed clinical social worker working in hospitals advocating for patients,
getting the right care at the right time and in the right place, a wife, and a mom. Her
involvement with endo began with a diagnosis at 19 while in college and a simple Google search
which led her to the Endometriosis Research Center and Nancy Peterson. That is how she
learned more about this disease and became more involved in advocacy work. Shortly after that
she had her first surgery, 9 months later, she had her first mostly excision surgery after learning
more from Nancy Peterson and the ERC. 9 years later, she had excision surgery #2. A few years
later, she along with her husband welcomed their first child. In June of 2019, Keara had enough
with just adequate care and traveled to seek out more specialized care and had her first complete
excision surgery. She has stage IV endo, adenomyosis, and has struggled with infertility. Keara
is also the leader of the EndoCenter of Chicagoland.
